Yay for today’s giveaway! Don’t you love letting your neighbors, the kid’s teachers, and others know you appreciate them at Christmas time? Unfortunately, getting gifts for all of the people you appreciate can get really expensive. Homemade treat plates work great, but what if you want to avoid food gifts because of special diets, food allergies, or other reasons?
We’ve got you covered.
You can assemble this super easy and inexpensive soap gift. It looks nice, is practical, and can be refilled again and again. If you would like, you can pair it with an inexpensive towel, but it works well to give it alone too.
Instructions:
Gather needed materials. The soap that I used is the small size of the Walmart brand and clear. You could also use small soaps of a similar shape. You will also need the downloads, ribbon and scissors. Possibly you might need a cleaner like Goo Gone. If you do, you will also need dish soap and paper towels. I needed it for mine.
Step One
Have the inserts printed on a transparency at a copy center. Make sure it is a laser copier. If you own a laser printer, you can print it at home. Do not use an ink-jet printer; the ink will not hold up.
There are two printing options, all black ink or an combination of red, black, and green ink. We liked how the all black option turned out best, so that is the one we recommend. Each sheet makes 10 soaps.

Step Two
Remove the label off of the soap bottle. If glue residue remains after the label is removed, use a cleaner like Goo Gone to remove. Use dish soap to clean off the Goo Gone. Dry the soap bottle.
Small tangent… isn’t this stuff always handy to have around with kids? It has gotten us out of many sticky disasters. I am putting a link in case you are not familiar with it.

Step Three
Cut each insert from the transparency. Trim them narrowly on the sides and the top and leave extra on the bottom to help it sit high enough in the soap bottle so you can see the bottom of the writing.
Step Four
Roll the cut transparency to insert into the neck of the opened soap bottle. Use the stick of the pump to push the insert flat and to the front of the bottle. Replace the pump.
Step Five
Tie on a pretty ribbon, make a bow, and add a gift-tag! We have made these cute gift-tags for you, or you can use your own.
Wishing you a safe and Merry Christmas!
